I get lots of inquiries about why mv.NET is better than PDP.NET. Many of these are from sites that (like I did) adopted PDP.NET and then decided they needed something else. In response, I've just drafted a long list of notes comparing the products in business and technical terms. Please let me know if you'd like to discuss these details.

As I was providing a link to this article for a new mv.NET prospect it occurred to me that I didn't mention a lot of things I should. In short, one other reason PDP.NET is inadequate is that it still (October 2006) doesn't support the .NET Framework v2.0. Even if they catch up, that's just inexcusable.

In fairness I note the world of RedBack has changed drastically. If someone would care to correct my article comments with more recent information I'd really like to have accurate information here. Also, I understand UO.NET does some type of pooling but I have no idea how it works. Please e-mail with info and I'll summarize the info, perhaps in a correction to the article itself. Thanks!
