(E-mailed, public comments here) Thanks Jim! I was so impressed with DevCon that I wrote a series of three articles for Spectrum about Caché and InterSystems, and the first one needed to get out the door ASAP. Clif Oliver is doing a show recap for the Spectrum e-newsletter but I will do my own here as soon as I can get a free timeslice. For a list of some of the big Caché sites, see the testimonials on their website. Regards - T

Toni,

I'm interested to hear your post-show observations. Intersystems is privately held but if their sales figures are accurate, they are in the same ball park as the entire MV market in size. Job searches on Dice, Monster and CareerBuilder all turn up 15-30 entries for "Mumps Cache" but none for "Multivalue Pick Universe jBase". I know Epic, a Cache user, is a top tier player in the Medical world. The larger software houses in the Multivalue world are pretty well known. I wonder who the large players are in the Mumps / Cache world. I know Mumps has it's origin on Medicine in New England.

As a side note, Epic has an interesting sales policy the likes of which I've never encountered. When they bid on say a hospital system, they offer a discount on their software if the hospital hires personel that Epic recommends.
