NebulAnalysis is one of our most requested products.
NebulAnalysis empowers your MultiValue
system with the ability to remotely create, update, or delete Microsoft
Excel documents, including charts! NebulAnalysis functions bidirectionally
so that Excel can also trigger activity back to the MuliValue application.
NebulAnalysis is a development tool, not an end-user application, though
end-users will certainly benefit when their use of Excel is expanded by
integration with their business application. NebulAnalysis was designed
to overcome obstacles inherent in some of the other MV-to-Excel solutions:
- Many of today's solutions allow one-way movement of data into Excel.
NebulAnalysis allows seamless integration in both directions.
- NebulAnalysis is not tied to any specific terminal emulation software.
It will work with any terminal emulator, and in fact can be used by
dumb terminals as well.
- NebulAnalysis does not use the obsolete DDE interface technology.
- Non-productized solutions have a lot of "down and dirty"
code. Each new function added into such code is unique and the developer
usually must re-learn how Excel works to effect a change. The end-user
ultimately pays for the re-education and extended development time.
NebulAnalysis allows full control of the entire Excel environment using
a comprehensive API standardized with all other components in the Nebula
suite for Microsoft Office. Any MultiValue developer can quickly and
inexpensively read existing code and make enhancements with little knowledge
of Excel or NebulAnalysis.
- NebulAnalysis allows complete control of Excel
Workbooks, WorkSheets, and Charts. Other products were designed
to create simple sheets or charts but not to enable control of the Excel
environment.
We all know attractive reports sell business
applications.
NebulAnalysis is your "Ace in the Hole"
for Creating those reports.
Combined with NebulaDoc to create
Microsoft Word documents, NebulAnalysis can be used to generate
attractive management reports. An Excel Chart is produced with NebulAnalysis
and then added as an object into a report created with NebulaDoc. The
report can then be exported into PDF. For final "icing on the cake",
e-mail the report to appropriate managers via NebulaManager.
The library of functions (the API) for all Nebula components is constantly
growing. For Excel, a one time installation of the NebulaSuite Windows
component is all that is required.
To understand the value of NebulAnalysis, open up Microsoft Excel and
ask yourself a few questions:
- What if you could execute an MV application program as part of the
formula calculations in a spreadsheet, pulling data back into the sheet,
and updating your MV database too?
- What if a user could import or export data with a single mouse click?
- What if decision makers could do "what if" scenarios with
live MV data?
- When someone wants to give your users data, wouldn't it be nice if
they could get it in a standard format, like an Excel spreadsheet or
CSV (comma delimited) file?
- Have your customers asked for your application software to generate
charts?
- What about dynamically publishing reports, maps, or graphs to a web
site, or faxing or e-mailing them on-demand?
- Would interaction like this add value to your application?
- How do management and financial decision makers use Excel?
- Isn't the decision to buy (or keep!) your software made by management
people who are only interested in the financial and reporting capabilities
of your applications?
More than a Utility, this is a Package.
As the NebulAnalysis client/developer base grows, we will be offering
additional "bonuses" to our users, including:
- Consultation from financial experts skilled in Excel reporting. Ask
them how to best integrate Excel with your MV applications to appeal
to CFO-level decision makers.
- Free books and other document resources to advance your understanding
of Excel and how it's used in the business world.
- Free spreadsheet templates to incorporate into your own product offerings.
- Free step-by-step examples for creating graphs, charts, and maps.
- Free advice on which charts to use to profile specific types of data
- important information which adds value to your products and may provide
an edge in marketing.
